The Travel Club is planning a trip to Greece over March Break 2009 (departing march 12 returning march 21, 2009)
This trip includes a visit to Athens and the area, as well as a 4-day cruise to the Greek islands.

| The SWC Competitive Cheerleaders captured first place in their division at the Ontario Cheerleading Championships last weekend. Congratulations to all the girls and their coaches for an excellent season. Winning the provincial championship was a great way to end the year especially for our grade 12 girls Kelsey Campbell, Paige Fenelon, Robyn Hamlyn, Kaitlyn Hynnes, Amanda Suttie, and Kaitlin Pedersen. |  |
| 15 exemplary Churchill students were honoured Saturday evening at the OSSTF Excellence in Education Banquet. Students in attendance from Thunder Bay and the region were recipients of awards in the following catagories: Academic Excellence, Athletic Excellence, Citizenship, Technical Skills Excellence, Arts Excellence and Leadership. Lachlan Armstrong, Tanis Belluz, Sarah Clasen-Byce, Jyoti Mahajan, Graeme McCormack, Meghan Mrowiec, Socrate Pavlou, Robertson Reid, Matt Schmidt, Carly Smith, Alex Stevenson, Henry Tempelman, Megan Upton, Kelsey York, and Adam Zimmerman, were the award winners on Saturday from Churchill. 45 additional Churchill students will be honoured with this recognition at Achievement Night, Band Final Concert, the Athletic Barbeque, and Graduation. Congratulations recipients.
In addition to an award of excellence, Socrate Pavlou was also honoured this weekend with the inauguaral and prestigious Passport to Prosperity OSSTF Thunder Bay and Superior North Tech and Skilled Trades Award. |
