Purple Pinkie Project
Congratulations Churchill, $494 raised. That’s 494 children saved from polio, one of the world’s most crippling diseases. But, that’s not all. Many other schools in Thunder Bay were participating in the Purple Pinkie Project, and with our $494, the total exceeds $1500. Thank you to all Churchill staff & students, who contributed and a special thanks to all the volunteers who gave up their time in the name of this worthy cause.

On February 23, students from our school wil be collecting $1 donations to support Rotary International’s Purple Pinkie Project. One dollar is the amount required to cure a child of polio, anyone who donates their dollar on February 23rd will have their pinkie dyed purple. This dye is the exact same dye used by vaccination clinics to identify children who have already been vaccinated. So on February 23rd, Bring your Dollar, Save a Child.
