Please mark your calendar so you can join us on Tuesday September 21st at 7:00pm in the library for the annual School Council Elections.

This is a great opportunity to contribute your ideas and to make Churchill the very best school for our students.

Nomination forms are available in the main office. We hope you’ll consider joining the School Council.

Yearbooks AVAILABLE for pick-up

It’s the fall!

Mrs. Daze will allow pick-up of yearbooks during the last week of August. There are still books available for purchase as well ($35).

See Mrs. Daze in the Library during these dates/times:

Tues., Aug. 31: 10 am - 12 noon

Wed., Sept. 1: 10 am - 12 noon

Once school starts, you can pick up or buy last year’s yearbook from Mrs. Daze in the Library.
[Note: Students purchase next year’s book through their homeroom teacher - still costing $35.)

Monday, June 21 - grad list finalized and posted by day’s end
Tuesday, June 22 - grad ceremony rehearsal - SWC gym - 1:00 p.m.
Wednesday, June 23 - graduation ceremony - Thunder Bay Community Auditorium - graduates be there at 6:30 p.m. Ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 24 - grad dinner/dance. Valhalla Inn. See Mr. Loney for tickets

Congratulations to Steven Johanson for placing second in the Ontario Provincial Skills Competition in Waterloo Ontario on May 8th! Steven was competing in the carpentry competion and received a silver medal.

Robotics Club wins 1st and 3rd in Robotics skills contest at L.U.

Congratulations goes out to all the members of the robotics club for doing incredibly well at the Robotics Skills contest at Lakehead University.

Josh Halvorsen and Ben Searles-Kimberley took first place with their DART robot, and Summer Peppard won 3rd place in the Secondary Skills Contest. Congrats goes out to everyone who competed!

Grad Gown Deadline

Friday, May 7 is the last day grade 12 students can order a grad gown for the graduation ceremony on Wed., June 23. The gown rental fee is $42, and the order form and payment need to be dropped off in Student Services.

Last Date to Drop Classes

TODAY, Wednesday May 5, is the last day for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students to drop classes and not have the mark appear on your permanent record (full disclosure). Classes can be dropped by seeing a counsellor in Student Services. Written permission is required from a parent/guardian in order to drop a class.

Provincial Test: 9:30 am – 12:45 pm
Grade 9, 11, 12 Bus Students: Supervised Study in Posted Rooms

Period 3 (Lunch) – 12:45 – 1:30 pm
Gr. 9, 11 & 12 non bus students arrive for period 4 at 1:30 pm

Period 4 - 1:30 – 2:30 pm
Period 5 - 2:35 – 3:35 pm
